uesday, February 7, please join 88.5 FM KRFY Morning Show hosts Phil Hough and Julie Kallemeyn and their guest Paul Bannock author of “Owl: A Year In The Lives of North American Owls.” That’s at 8 a.m. on 88.5 FM, KRFY community radio.

Wednesday, February 8, please join 88.5 FM KRFY Morning Show hosts Suzy Prez and Chris Bessler. Their guests this week will be organizers from 350Sandpoint.org who will bring an overview of the organization and an update on the organization’s current activities. A second guest will be John Edwards with an update on the current work of Rock Creek Alliance. See you at 8 a.m. on 88.5 FM, KRFY community radio.

Thursday, February 9, please tune in to the Thursday edition of the KRFY Morning Show with hosts Jack Peterson and Jim Healey. Their guests will be Hannah Paton and Melanie Collett from the Senior Companion Program. That’s the Morning Show at 8 a.m. on 88.5 FM, KRFY  community radio.

Wednesday, February 1

For KRFY’s Local Decision ’26, each Wednesday we have aired interviews with all candidates for contested Bonner County and District 1 legislative offices in the upcoming May 19 primary. Only Republican races are contested. Click to hear the recorded interviews:

Idaho State Senate:

Idaho House Seat A:

Idaho House Seat B:

In addition to these contested races, there are three ballot measures, for voters who live within the Northside and Westside fire districts, and the Lakeland School District, as well as 20 contested races for Republican precinct committeemen. A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
