Message from the president of KRFY’s board of directors
Without underwriters, 88.5 KRFY would not be on the air. Generous businesses, organizations, and individuals have recognized the importance of community radio in north Idaho and have provided necessary financial support. Show them that you value their commitment. When you visit their businesses, thank them for supporting KRFY. If you purchase something and charge it, write a short note on the charge-card receipt that you appreciate what they are doing for KRFY. It is important that businesses receive feedback about their support of KRFY. And what better way to do this than by writing “Thank you for supporting KRFY!” on your financial transaction?
I do this every chance I get. As a matter of fact, I go out of my way to support the businesses that support KRFY. I choose to do my business at stores and eat at restaurants that underwrite for KRFY. For a complete list of businesses, go to www.krfy.org.
Just the other day I walked into a local business and heard KRFY on the radio. I thanked the person behind the counter for having the radio tuned to KRFY. She said that she enjoys the daytime music mix. I ended up buying something in addition to what I went into the store for, just because I felt good about the business’ support of KRFY.
The bottom line is that KRFY underwriters would like to know that their dollars are making a difference, not only by keeping KRFY on the air waves, but also by possibly generating some business for themselves. Do your part as a KRFY listener and let underwriters know that you support them because they support KRFY!
Jim Healey
President, Board of Directors.
