Former KRFY Home-Schooled Volunteer Visits Studio

We had a delightful surprise at the studio on Wednesday (October 22). Michelle Dyroy, a home-schooled downloading volunteer and talented muscian, paid a visit to Sandpoint on her recent return to the States from her new home in Norway. She toured the studio’s new production and broadcast rooms and brought us up to date on all that is new in her life in the Nordic mountains of her ancestral home. So good to see that Michelle has blossomed into a confident young woman — we are lucky to count her as a friend of KRFY!.

A note on KRFY funding

How has defunding and closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting affected KRFY? Our station is funded solely by listeners, supporters and underwriters and has never received funding from the CPB. But some syndicated shows KRFY airs will be affected. The National Federation of Community Broadcasters has prepared a statement on impacts of the CPB closure. Click to read it.
